The surrounding area is still developing, so weekdays can bring some daytime activity nearby. Evenings and weekends are quiet — worth knowing if you're coming for peace and quiet.

Great cabin close to all that the area has to offer!

The cabin is lovely. We loved that each bedroom has a bathroom, giving everyone in our family their own space. We were particularly fond of the wrap-around porch, theater room and fire pit!

The cabin was perfect in every aspect!

The layout and styling of the cabin was amazing! It was able to accommodate our group of five nicely. We loved being able to use the theater room, hot tub, and fire pit during our stay. Everything was clean and all amenities were easy to access and use. I would definitely book Shagbark again!

Shagbark Hill was a beautiful and comfortable house.

We were first-timers to Hocking Hills recently. We chose to stay at Shagbark Hill because this house offered 3 king-sized beds, which were very comfortable. Each bedroom is an ensuite. The baths were very nicely done and even had shampoo, conditioner....The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, including a crockpot The house was a great place to come back to after a tiring day of hiking. I would highly recommend Shagbark Hill.

Excellent getaway weekend!

Everything was excellent! From the arrival to departure. The rooms are amazing the space in the bathrooms has us envious. Every bed was great, nice mattresses and the bedrooms on different floors and offset is great. The theatre is amazing and was a great space. Could use some better chairs/sofa in there or recliners. But still a great space and very fun to use. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful spot, comfortable and well appointed

Stayed for a girls trip and it was a perfect setting. The beds are comfortable, there is plenty of room and the wrap around porch is perfection. Close to all of the things!

Cozy cabin, very clean

This is the second time we stayed here. Very easy to book, quick response from staff, comfortable beds, great for couples, and has a ton of amenities. The only downfall this time was the heat was set on 45 and took awhile to heat up. For some reason the registers were shut as well. The dishwasher was also not unloaded from the previous guests. Those little things won't hinder us from staying again in this beautiful cabin.

It was a beautiful cabin with amazing outdoor spaces.

Loved loved loved the huge porch with a fireplace AND having so much porch furniture!!! We were even able to enjoy the day that rained all morning by sitting out there and visiting together. I like that the bedrooms had king sized beds.

Beautiful cabin. Very comfortable beds.

Best beds I have ever slept on. Loved the porch with the fireplace, swing, rocking chairs, dining table and grill. It was the perfect spot to relax. We will definitely be back! The only thing we needed was a blender and k cup coffee maker. Luckily I brought my blender and there was coffee to use in the kitchen.

Wonderful Stay, Wonderful Cabin

The Cabin was exactly how it is described. Very clean, the porch was amazing and our kids loved the movie room! What a great Cabin in a prime location in my opinion. Can’t wait to come back. Directions getting to the place are a little hard to understand but that will get worked out. GPS will take you to Big Pine Road and off of that is Hawthorne Way where your cabin is. Don’t overthink things book this cabin!!

Fantastic New Home in Hocking Hills

We enjoyed our stay in this new cabin. Great distance to main hiking areas and restaurants / stores. Had all the amenities you need and some thoughtful special touches. Outside space is perfect with an outdoor fireplace and separate fire pit. Indoor movie room was huge and helpful during a rainy day. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful, clean cabin with all we needed to enjoy a family weekend.

The cabin was the best stocked rental we have ever booked! So much to love about Shagbark - the grandkids enjoyed the game room and theatre room, the adults gathered around the outdoor fireplace which was perfect since we had some rain and didn’t use the fire pit. Lots of room for everyone to have their own private space too!!
